IMPORTED KILN DRIED LUMBER PRODUCTS

The unique colors and grains of many imported woods make them popular for use in a variety of projects.  The woods we have come from many different areas of the world, and we try to bring in species that have some special characteristics.  We also try to respond to customer requests for species we don't have, but be aware that some obscure species may be difficult to find, and quite expensive.  Most imported woods come only in a select grade, and most of our stock is in 1" thickness.  There are some species with thicknesses of 2" or 3" also.  Pricing of the items we most commonly stock is shown in the "Lumber Prices" link at the top of this page.   The price sheet is arranged alphabetically by species & includes both domestic and imported woods.  It is common for customers to need small pieces of imported woods, so we often have short boards, but unlike our domestic woods there is no cost saving per foot on imported shorts.

In our species listing below we have a short description of the wood, alternate names that are sometimes used for that species, what area of the world it comes from, and the thicknesses we try to have in stock.  We have found pricing on imported woods to be much more volatile than our domestic species so don't be surprised if prices may change quite a bit in a short period of time.
